What Does a Court Commissioner Do

(a) To hear and decide ex parte applications for injunctions, alternative orders and writs of habeas corpus before the higher court for which the judicial commissioner is appointed. In the courtroom, judges and judicial commissioners look the same and address each other in the same way (address both a judge and a commissioner by saying «Your Honour» when speaking to the court).
